Looking after you when you need it the most

We encourage you to contact us as early as you can when a dental emergency occurs. In many cases, early treatment can help prevent complex restorative treatment and even tooth extractions.

We aim to see you within 24 hours of your call and provide gentle emergency care and effective pain relief, along with antibiotics (if clinically necessary).

Your emergency appointment in 3 steps

1. Get in touch

We will ask you to describe your symptoms to our reception team, who will relay these to a dentist. You will be contacted with an appointment slot, and we may provide care advice that you can follow while you wait for your appointment.

2. Diagnosis

Our dentists will perform an examination to diagnose the root cause of your pain. Medication may be provided if deemed clinically necessary by your dentist.

3. Treatment

If possible, we will treat you on the same day, though this isn’t always feasible. You may be asked to return for a follow-up appointment for a restorative procedure, such as a crown, after root canal treatment.

Private patients

We hold private emergency slots throughout the day. Please call 111 to access out-of-hours emergency dental care when the practice is not open.

NHS patients

Please contact us before 12 pm to ensure you do not miss out on an NHS emergency slot. For out-of-hours emergencies, please contact the NHS emergency service by dialling 111.
